This page explains how to remove your Instagram connection from ForushAI, and how to request deletion of your ForushAI account and the data associated with it. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and why.
1. Disconnect Instagram (keep your ForushAI account)
You can remove the connection between your Instagram account and ForushAI at any time, in either of two ways:
- From ForushAI: open your dashboard and disconnect the Instagram account from your connected-accounts settings. This stops ForushAI from receiving new messages or comments for that account and revokes ForushAI's stored access token for it.
- From Instagram/Meta: go to your Instagram or Facebook account's Apps and Websites (or Business Integrations) settings and remove ForushAI. This immediately revokes ForushAI's access on Meta's side.
2. Request full account and data deletion
To delete your ForushAI account and the associated data entirely, send a deletion request:
- Submit a request by emailing hello@forushai.ir or messaging @hamed_ddev on Telegram from the phone number or account associated with your ForushAI account, with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
- We verify the request — we confirm it comes from the account holder (e.g. by matching the phone number on file) to protect against fraudulent deletion requests.
- We identify the relevant data — your ForushAI account, connected Instagram account information, and stored message/comment metadata, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We delete eligible data — we permanently delete the identified data, except information we are legally required to retain for a limited time (for example, records needed to investigate fraud or to comply with a legal obligation), which is kept only as long as required and then deleted.
- We confirm completion — we reply to confirm the deletion request has been processed.
We currently process deletion requests manually and aim to complete them within 30 business days of verifying your request. As the Service grows we intend to add a self-service deletion option directly in the dashboard.
3. What gets deleted
- Your ForushAI account (username, phone number, password hash)
- Your connected Instagram account record and encrypted access token
- Message and comment metadata associated with your account (we do not store message/comment text in the first place — see our Privacy Policy)
- Automation rules and other configuration you created in the dashboard
Note: deleting your ForushAI account does not, by itself, remove ForushAI's app authorization on Meta's side. We recommend also removing ForushAI from your Instagram/Meta Apps and Websites settings, as described in Section 1.
